Clear Mounts Stamps - Video

I am sold on the new clear mount stamps Stampin' Up! sells!! Not only do I find it an equal in superior quality to the wood mount stamps, but I love the money savings of going with clear mount, and the storage space situation is *amazing* too!! Check out this video to see how to mount and use the stamps. With a few of my personal ideas and tips in there too...like which clear blocks to buy. Like I mention at the end of the video...I will soon be converting my wood mount to clear I think...because of all the space it will save me.

*Please forgive the white streaks and flecks all over my hands! I've been painting:-)

Here are some adorable little piggy banks I made for my kids. Using the little milk carton die I made something that will visually help them how to split up the money they make, (Spend, Save, Give). They are sooo cute!!

I didn't adhere the back part, so it can be removed by taking the clip off. I thought that might be easier for getting bills back out.

May Class - Tea Time!

This month we'll be making this adorable little tea bag holder, perfect to set out on your counter! It's cute, and handy for making all that sweet tea this summer! It would also make an adorable gift. As with all my classes, once you attend you will get the instructions to make this again on your own!

I will be designing a new "front" using the words "sweet tea" - instead of just the teapot, for those that don't drink hot tea. I'll post pics here soon!

COST (will include tea for the inside too!): $10 (if you bring your own sticky strip) OR $13 (if you use my sticky strip)

I will be pre cutting and scoring this for you, so everything is ready to go! - we will be making the base out of choc. chip cardstock, and the paper patterns in either "Woodland Walk" or "Greenhouse Gala". Take a look at the pics, and please specify which of these you like (IE which colors will match your kitchen - if none of these do, please tell me, we can work with other options, I have LOTS of paper!).

See how it works? It's a see-thru card...the butterflies are on the top and the bottom, making them look dimensional, and "whole". A different idea I was testing out, and it looked pretty cool, I thought.

It's been awhile since I've had some crafting time! I'm itching to get back at it! This past week I was "forced" to make a little gift card holder. Can't give a gift card in the plan ol' paper holder they give you in the store...well you can but it's just so boring by comparison!

To fill a cute little frame I already had...

"B" is for our last name!

I had a sheet of tin from Michaels, and I didn't really know what to do with it. Brilliance! It embosses in the Big Shot! Cute, right?

I really love it, and so does my husband. Perhaps the manly element of tin makes it appealing, even with flowers:-) A very cute and display worthy decoration. Created in waaaaay less than 30 minutes too!

While I had my crafting stuff out, time to make a slider album for my little niece Vienna! It turned out really cute!

Ribbon Bookmark

These little bookmarks are soooo cute! They are cut from Bigz dies on the Big Shot, and although mine are paper, if you like to sew, you could also cut them out of fabric and stitch them all together, and I think it would be nice too. I do like the sponging effects and dimensionality of the paper ones though (they have spacers between the layers). Soooo cute. Quick and easy gift for sure!

How To: 3x3 envelope

How do you make a matching, super cute envelope to go with your card?

One thing you need to know about me - I *love* 3x3 cards. They are my faves!! They are just so cute! So to go with those sweet little cards, here's a sweet envelope!

Start with sacrificing one of your Stampin' Up 3x3 envelopes, by carefully taking it apart (To fit that size card, it measures a little bigger than 3x3, really). Keep this as your template.

Hold the template to your designer paper and cut out. No need to trace it, it's so simple! Use some Dotto removable adhesive if you want to/need to

(This is the other side of that same paper). Use a bone folder, or your scoring blade, and score lines from corner to corner on each side

Fold and adhere. Isn't it cute?!

All of Stampin' Up's Designer Paper is double sided. Which would be perfect for the hand delivered card/gift, but could be a little much to put through the mail, depending on the pattern. You can always use your non-SU designer paper to make one with a white side, and fold it white side out.

Simple Top Note

I am totally digging this color combo...black, white and crumb cake!

This card I wanted to make like a patchwork quilt of sorts, with the top notes die. I am pretty happy with the results. The detail on the black squares is heat embossed, black on black for a textured feel. Pretty cool! The cherries are a stamp set, I drew free-hand the stripes and dots with my Versa-marker. Love that thing so much! Simple and clean to look at, which I like, and a fairly easy degree of difficulty, providing you know how to heat emboss. If you don't, I really need to teach you, it's one of my fave techniques!!

If you know me, you know I like simple, cute, and 3x3 cards! This is a combination of all three. In LOVE!

This is a little gift set of cards and envelopes. They all fit in this little pizza style box, complete with cute belly band. Perfect stocking stuffer for female relatives, teacher gift for school and church, small little birthday gift add-on...pretty much any occasion will be made so much sweeter with these little guys around!

Used: Button, Flocking, Crystal Effects with re-inker, Blender pens, Ribbon, Glitter, Colored sticky gem

All the cards inside. They are all heat embossed with black powder, and then one different color or feature is brought out on each card. Super cute!

How To: Tri-fold card

You will need punches: Large circle scallop, small circle scallop, medium oval & small oval. I used the stamp sets Polka Dot Punches and Fundamental Phrases with Basic Black ink.

The gray punch is the new punch style by Stampin' Up. It "closes" to help with storage.

You will need paper: Designer Paper 4x12 (double sided print). Basic Black 4 1/4x 4 1/4, and 3 1/2 x 3 1/4. Very Vanilla 3 x 3 1/4

Score the designer paper at 4" from each end

Use a bone folder to fold up the sides into a triangle, like this:

Adhere the flaps down with adhesive, so they can't open anymore.

Along the bottom edge, put just one strip of adhesive, to hold the triangle flap down, and to create a pocket to hold the note card

Use a wedge of a Stampin' Sponge to sponge the edges. Sponging gives a warmer depth to your projects, making them look more professional. To make the edges of my "book" paper look tea-stained, I used Creamy Caramel.

Always use a scrap paper underneath when you sponge. Start off the paper, and work in a circular motion onto the Designer Paper. This will keep the ink light

Also sponge the edges of the inside Very Vanilla piece

Adhere the black pieces to the paper. The smaller one to the sponged note card, and the larger one to the back of the designer paper.

Adhere all your punched pieces together, and use your piercing tool and mat to make a hole in the center of the scallops for a Hodgepodge Hardware brad.

Use Stampin' Dimensionals on only half of the scallop circle...you want to be able to open the card!

Position and stick down your punched shaped. The "For You" is adhered with regular adhesive, the scallop circle with dimensionals (this is only because the back of the brad will not allow it to lay flat - if you are not using a brad in your design, you can adhere it normally ie: flat)

All done!! The only difference between the one I made yesterday, and this one, is the color of the brad in the center of the scallop circle. One is silver, one is very vanilla. And of course, the nature of the designer paper I chose makes them a little unique too...different sections of the "book pages". Love it!

Adorable and VERY quick and easy to do! Have fun!! - The inside is perfect for holding money, a gift card, or a picture!

Another Tri-fold

This one is really easy to make! I used a new paper I've been itching to use. It looks like old pages from a book. I antiqued it a little with Creamy Caramel ink...gives it a tea stained look. So cute!

The great thing about this card...it can hold money, a gift card, or a picture, etc.

Heart to Heart

Now isn't this just the cutest ever? It's made with the full heart punch (by Stampin' Up), and you just need 4 of them! The brides dress is embossed with the small polka dots (Big Shot), and everything is sprayed with the Champagne Mist ink paint (SU), mixed with rubbing alcohol. And then some of that paint rubbed on to the lapels of the tux for a more intense shine. This is SO stinkin' cute!!

Tea Time!

Look at this adorable little tea holder. Wouldn't this be a great gift for the tea lover in your life? I made this one for ME, and I picked the colors based on what would match my kitchen, since it will be out on the counter!

It's holding Earl Grey tea right now, one of my faves. It currently has 20 tea bags in it (a whole box), but could hold more!

Valentines

Prepare your candies! They could really be anything...I found a large bucket of Valentine candy corns for $2.50, and little lollypop baggies that were $2.50 for 50. They were the only things I had to buy, as I was just using up odds and ends of ribbon and paper that I already had! - Super cheap for all the 30-something Valentines I had to make!

I found that 15 candies fit nicely in the baggies without making them too puffy out the back when completely assembled

6.5 x 3 1/8. Score at 3/8 and 2 7/8 - put some sticky strip on the outer bottom little tab, and also in the middle center (inside, to hold the bag of candy in place. Cut or punch out a heart shape

Stick the candy bag to the middle inside, fold over and attach the little front flap to the underside of the front. and you're done!!

Or almost done. Punch out a smaller heart (mine has {sweet} stamped on it, and is embellished with a little pink gem). Adhere to candy bag with a mini glue dot (or two). Tie a ribbon to the side, and you're done!

I was using up odds and end of paper and ribbon, so none of mine are identical...but all super cute!!

See a side view? With the dimensions scored as they are, it gives a little more room in the back to expand with the candies in there. Love it!!

Apples Card

This is definitely not a 5 minute card, as all of those raised leaves are cut out by hand...but it was worth it. I love this one!! I've not stamped on any "greeting" yet, as it could go for lots of different occasions, so I will stamp it once I've determined who I'm giving it to, and for what. It's one of my favorites though, I just love it!

Valentine Day Decoration

Hand print Art!! It says "These {hands} will hold my {heart} forever".

It was actually pretty easy to make! You could stamp your letters, print them out, or use die cuts (like I did). Ink up those little hands (if you only have one child, do both of their hands). Cut out a heart and decorate as you choose, really! I wanted to keep mine pretty simple, and I choose colors that would kinda match my livingroom, but also work for Valentines Day.

How To: Make a Photo Album

I decided to make my photo album to hold this years pictures. Last year, I made this one. It's very cute, and I just love it. I was looking for something different, but cool too...

My inspiration came from this album. I purchased this at Blacks (Canadian store), in 2002, for 15.99 I believe. It could have been 24.99. Anyway, it's a plain book with a textured paper cover, and full of plain black cardstock. I really like it because it's classy and simple.

Some inside shots of the album! This one is a 12x12.

So now to make my own!! I didn't want the front and back to be so plain. I decided on an 8x8 size, and had a bunch of pictures enlarged to that size. Then I covered the chipboard in black 80 lbs cardstock (from SU), and made my covers with the pics I wanted to use. I then covered the whole page in Mod Podge and let dry. This creates a very "painted" look that doesn't show up well in the pics, but it looks really cool in person.

I used a template I made to get the holes right (and straight!), and then a Crop-a-dile to punch them out. It's bound with O-wires from Bind It All (purchased at a local scrapbooking store). I don't have the Bind It All machine, but you can do it the hard (long way), by punching out the holes by hand and then feeding the wires into the holes and clamping shut.

How To: Use a Paper Trimmer

Are you confused by certain measurements when you see them? Having a good paper trimmer will help you, I promise. Always make sure you have the paper snug and straight against the top ruler portion to ensure accurate cuts.

Make sure you have a paper trimmer with an arm that swings out. It can cut 12 x 12 sheets of paper. Fiskars is the brand I would recommend, personally.

I'm making these pictures pretty big, so you can see the details I've added

Once you get familiar with your paper trimmer, it's very quick and easy to use. Don't let little-known measurements scare you!

Making your trimmer last forever - TIPS!
Buy replacement blades from Stampin' Up, Michaels, etc. When you cut paper and it burrs the edge a little, instead of a perfect crisp cut, it's time for a new blade.

After much use, my lettering/numbering etc on the main base of the board began to fade and wear off. I took a sheet of sticky rub on laminate (I happened to have had this on hand from years ago), and covered this area (the silver part), and them trimmed to precision with a hobby blade. The printing on the trimmer is now protected, and it should last forever!

I have marked popular cuts on my trimmer with a Sharpie. Right on the ruler part. I have a dot right at the 5.5 mark, which is the most common cut you'll make with homemade cards. It's easy for your eye to see that spot and you never accidentally cut it a 1/4" too small or large!

How To: Trifold card - Video

This card is really easy to make, and can make a big impression!

This card is one of the options for the Stamp A Stack Class I am holding on Friday

1. Cut your Taken with Teal cardstock to 5.5x11
2. Score at 2 and 3 3/4 from each end. Use a bone folder to go across your score line and make them "tight".

3. Cut designer paper or card stock to 1 3/4 x 5 1/4 (for the front panels). Mine are Very Vanilla card stock, embossed with a Big Shot Impressions Die, to give it some pretty texture. Sponge the edges of the Very Vanilla with Taken with Teal ink. Center and attach to card, using adhesive. A pretty patterned paper would look so nice too!

4. The center image: This can really be any size that would look proportionate to the size of the card. Depending on the stamped image you choose, your dimensions could be larger. I used the stamp set Happy Moments, with the Stamp-a-ma-jig. Very Vanilla piece is cut to 1 7/8 x 2 6/8. Sponge the edges of the vanilla paper.

5. Attach stamped image to Teal background piece, slightly larger than the vanilla one. Dimensions are 3 x 2 1/8. Pierce paper and apply embellishment brad.
6. Adhere the image to only HALF of the center portion of the card, so it will still open.
7. Color the image with ink and blender pens.
NOTE: If you use a dark paper that would not be visible for writing, adhere a piece of coordinating light colored cardstock to the middle back portion of the card. Dimensions would be 3 1/4 x 5 1/4. Sponge the edges with the matching ink.

Jan 21/11 Class - Sneak Peak

This class is $20 for 20 cards (add $5 for envelopes). I will be adding a few more (and little 3x3's too), but this is the "main event" of selections. I will add a link of more pics HERE, if I add any more cards.

If you are unable to attend the class, but would still like this great deal, you can order a kit of the cards you want - you'll get everything you need except the adhesive. You can assemble everything on your own time, and still have great handmade cards to give out!! *just tell me what you want ie: 3 men b-day, 2 child bday "dots", 1 cupcake bday etc*

OR for an additional $5, I will make all the cards you order for you, so you have nothing to worry about except mailing them out on time!

When I was finished this card and cleaning up, I dropped the open yellow ink pad on it, when I was trying to close it. It landed ink down, of course! So to cover my mess, I repeated that look multiple times, so it wouldn't look like an accident. Your card will be "normal" unless you mess it up like me!

Christmas Wreath

Here's some Christmas decor for my living room! A cute little wreath, using the flower punch...it's a very quick and easy project! The whole size is 8x8 on chipboard, with Early Espresso, Riding Hood Red, Whisper White, Always Artichoke and Sage Shadow (retired). I turned plain silver brads into red glittery brads using red re-inker, crystal effects and red glitter. I'd like a different (wider, satiny) ribbon, but this is all I had at the moment. I'll remove it and put on something better when I get different ribbon!

I don't have the Big Shot die for this milk carton, but I love it, so I freehanded it! It worked out well, it's so tiny and cute! I am not sure if it's exactly the same size as the die-cut one would be, but I think it's close!

Halloween

I put the Thanksgiving countdown on hold and made these little pumpkins out of my oval punches. The only stamp I have that is Halloween-ish, is "Trick or Treat". We don't really "do" Halloween, but we are headed to a Halloween/harvest party on the 31st, and the kids are super excited about it. After asking me for the hundredth time how long it will be until the party, I decided to...count it down!

I just adore this thing! Thank you Stampin Up! for giving us such a cute little thing!

This is the cutest little thing ever! The area to the right can hold a picture, or art/stamped images...it's 3 x 3. You can count down holidays, babies birth, wedding, vacation...ANYTHING you want! This is cute, cool, and especially fun to do with kids! They helped me cut out the leaves on the Big Shot to make our little "Thanksgiving" display.

"Art" Class

This month we will be doing something a little artistic! It will be fun, inexpensive, and look gorgeous in the end!

However, there is a catch! It will require some thought (I know, terrible, right?:-)

This is the general IDEA -

I have this piece of decor, (made by me!), in my livingroom. Mine is simply shapes cut out of cardstock, decorated, and stuck to more cardstock (displayed on a easel-style 'frame').

DECISION 1: Color scheme. Consider which room you might be putting this in, and pick some colors HERE (online catalog, pages 167-171 for colors). I would suggest about 3 colors, no more than 5 (you don't want it too busy)

DECISION 2: Theme. I picked the butterfly & flower from "For All You Do" page 105 (online), the outline from a stamp set set no longer available (but I can still get that image). I would suggest browsing online from pages about 100 - 124. Keep in mind that you are looking for solid images...we are cutting them out by hand, and then decorating them, so unless you buy that stamp set, we are not actually stamping any images here (they will be printed out, and then cut out)

DECISION 3: Where will you put this/what size will it be? This is entirely up to you! If you have an old frame, and want to put it in there (can even go under glass), than make sure you are making it the correct size. If you have a spare easel type stand, than it might not matter what size you make it , but still, think about it and let me know. My butterfly one is slightly larger than 9x9.

DECISION 4: This is especially if you are an experienced stamper - however - this applies to everyone. The more you have a vision in your head of what you want, the less time it will take you to make it. Find a picture of something to copy perhaps, and stick to it (copying it as closely as you can). Think about what techniques you want to incorporate, and we can get it done in no time! The catalog is full of inspiration, and they are for sale for $10 ea, or you can look online too (same thing) - My butterfly art is mostly stamped patterns, sponging, and in a few places, some heat embossing...and LOTS of cutting!! Example - if you wanted to copy mine almost exactly, it would take you about 3 hrs to make. If you need to think up all kinds of things on the spot, it's going to take you a lot longer. So think about what you like (one polka dot, one embossed, 3 sponged etc), and formulate a plan. If you can't get it done in one evening, we'll do a "take two" and you can come finish!

OPTIONS: You can look through the more "kid" styled ones, or purchase chipboard letters (of your child's name etc) to decorate.

COST: The cost will be $10, and include a pack of paper (will likely be a multipack - that I combine - with each of the colors you selected), and then the additional cost is for my beads, ribbons, embossing powder, crystal effects, sponge daubers, dimensional, etc.
(options: should you choose to order a stamp set, or chipboard letters, you can add that cost to the $10, with no tax or shipping charged!)

WHEN: October 29th, 7pm - I realize this date is close to Halloween (parties??), if you want to come and the date is the only reason you cannot attend, please msg me and let me know. We can also do the 22nd or 23rd...I would just like to give you all as much time as possible to sort out your thoughts on what you want to make!

This will be the next class we do, in September. Details to be announced. This book is made from chipboard and an o ring. I am actually not a huge fan of my cover. I think will tear it off and do it again. I was going for whimsy, but I guess I don't do whimsy very well:-) I'll leave it for now and see if it grows on me,otherwise, I'll need to do something a little nicer.

The purpose of the book is to hold cards ready to use for birthdays and anniversaries. Whether you make your cards, or purchase them, this will keep you on the ball and organized!

An example of an inside page. I am still debating embellishing with some Big Shot die cut flowers or something. For now, I am leaving it plain...

The flaps are held closed with velcro, so you can make your cards ahead of time and have them ready for the perfect occasion!

The time has come to start thinking about what I'm going to do for Christmas cards this year. I loved what I came up with for 2009, so I hope I can have some great inspiration and love this years too. Last year I made a see-thru card out of an acetate sheet. I really loved how it worked out!

The front, I'm showing it with black behind so the detail shows up. I stamped on the acetate with white Staz On ink. The papers used were Basic Black, Certainly Celery, and Ruby Red.

The inside

The back. All this paper cut to exactly the same size and layered on the acetate, so that the adhesive would never show through on the other side. And from the front, you could only see that one square in the middle.

It's always hard to come up with masculine designs for cards. This one was for a high school graduate. Using blacks and gray's, an acetate sheet for the 'window', geometrical shapes, and throw in some tinfoil, and you've a "man's card"!

First thought...randomly placed letters...didn't work so well, so I re-did that square!

I made this album for someone. The front is not attached, as I wasn't sure what picture she would put on the front, so I left that for her to do. (Thats why it's crooked:-)

Loved the colors of this one. One of my faves I think!

Another I made for someone, for Fathers Day. It was being given to a man, so I re-worked the ribbon idea, so it doesn't close with a bow...it's velcro! I also used hemp instead of ribbon inside too, just to increase the masculine feel of it. I really like how it turned out!
Excuse the sticky notes, they were in place to give pointers about what to do with the pictures, where to put them etc.

I made this 'family' art to go in a frame I already had. Adorable decor, for next to nothing!

This incorporates almost every technique possible! It was so fun to make. It took me a few hours on Saturday afternoon, and Sunday afternoon, to get it done. Since I don't have a Big Shot, I cut out everything by hand, and that took some time! The letters are colored chipboard.

Tri-Fold Album/Card

This is not really an album, and not really a card either. It has some room for pictures and journalling. It would be perfect for a wedding, new baby, anniversary, or similar special occasion. I made this one as a thank you to my family for having us for Christmas this past year.

I saw this/similar online and attempted to recreate it myself. This was my first attempt, and I was pretty happy with the results. In the end, I think I might have used a few too many different paper patterns (might be a little busy), but still, it works. I will re-work it slightly and make it a bit smaller for an upcoming class. Stay tuned!

Meander Book

I saw this little book online, and this is my first attempt at making my own. It's called a meander book, and the inside is made of one continuous (not cut apart) sheet of 12x12 paper! So cool! The finished product is about 3.5 x 3.5. I decided to make mine full of "love quotes". I simply adore quotes, and I think this is really cute! It's not perfect (my first try), next time I will make a few adjustments, but it's close enough!

For this workshop we will playing with Crystal Effects and I will show you how to do some really neat things with it. Then, we will use Crystal Effects as part of this craft: making magnets! These glass gem magnets are so cute and make a super gift for anyone (teacher gift, grandparents etc)! Slider Album Make-up Class

I know that many of you wanted to attend this class (in Feb) but were unable to make it. I am offering a make-up class for those of you that couldn't come the first time around. I am also offering a 2nd round, for those that did come and maybe want to make another. I know they all turned out so gorgeous! (click here for pics) If you have a friend you would like to invite, please let them know! Here are the details for both options:

2nd round: (you are second round if you own the instructions)
Come and bring your own cardstock, designer paper, and sticky strip. I'll provide the embellishments etc like last time. Cost: $7. You can use whatever designer paper you want, but you have to use Stampin' Ups 80lb cardstock, so if you don't have that (or want a different colour), then add 5.50 to the cost for a pack of paper. If you want I will pre-cut it for you again, OR I can talk you through it and you can try to cut it yourself!

First time attendee: Same deal as the class in Feb.

We will be making a Double-Slider Album, and it holds about 19 to 21 pictures. (I purchased these instructions from another SU demonstrator that invented it. I did not come up with this on my own, but it's ingenious!) Take a look at the pics, it's really cool! (it flips over and hold more on the back side too) The neat thing about it too, is it can be made and then decorated/pictures placed in at a later time, it doesn't have to be totally completed all at the same time.

It might be a little more money than you are used to a class being, BUT you will come away with lots of stuff that is yours to keep! Craft Table

Oh how I wish I could have a craft room!! Wouldn't that be blissful? For now I am grateful to have a corner of the office I can have a little table set up for some quick crafting. When I have my classes I move it all out to the livingroom and set up the 6ft folding tables to accommodate everyone nicely. After putting it all away after my class on Friday, I thought I would share a few pics of my permanent and yet portable craft space.

Under the table, a bin for cardstock, one for cutting mats, etc, and one for all my punches, cropadiles, and heat tool!

Buttons, brads, eyelets and other doo-dads. Very handy and easy to access.

Craft corner! In the back corner (white w/ drawers) I keep all my 12x12 designer papers. On top of that are two bins of stamp sets. On top of that a cute box full of misc things with no where else to go...and my stamp binder.

The drawers in this pull out, and this holds all my scrap paper pieces, adhesive, sponges, scissors and things like that. On top I have 2 boxes for ribbon (one for ribbon on the spool, and one for 'scraps'). The plastic containers have embossing powder or glitter in them, with a little disposable spoon. It's so much easier and neater to apply them just holding over the container. No mess or clean up!

My stamp book. It's a little crazy to try and look through tons of stamp sets to find the one you want. It's especially crazy when I have a class of people all trying to browse through. The solution? I stamped all of my sets onto paper and put them in a binder! Now you can easily see the sets and just grab the one you need.

This is a gorgeous Christmas card! It was actually time consuming to make, so it really isn't one that could be mass produced and handed out...there was a lot of colouring involved! The inside greeting says, "For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given..." I made a little mistake on the very bottom right side. Oops! It took me too long to redo though, so it will have to do!!

Stampin Up carries a new product in the Holiday Mini Catalog, shimmer paint. It's great stuff! I am just beginning to figure out all the neat things you can do with it. On this card, I took a travel sized spray bottle, filled with rubbing alcohol, and put in just a few drops of shimmer paint. Shake, and spray one coat over your paper. It turns any regular paper into a wonderfully shimmery paper. I love it!! The shimmer really doesn't show well in the picture, but in real life, it's really really pretty, yet subtle. And so easy to do!

A cute get well soon card! This is a 3x3 little card, with a fun band aid and cute little puffy, sparkly heart. I punched the heart, and covered it in crystal effects, then coated it in glitter, and then another layer of crystal effects, making it raised and puffy. So adorable, I will be making this one again!!

OPTION 1: A template, how-to class, includes your choice of stamp set to take home. Approx cost $25.

OPTION 2: A make up class where you can make stationary boxes, or catch up on any of the other things we have done in the past that you missed out on and really wanted to learn. Browse my site for things you might have missed.

OPTION 3: A coaster calendar making class. See my website for pictures of the one I made, or ask me to see it in person, it is way too cute for words. This would cost about $20, as I have to purchase a lot of coasters online (not SU product), and each person needs 13 for their calendar, so that is a lot of coasters!! It's a great gift.

OPTION 4: Tell me your idea.

I made a little CD scrapbook all about Brooks & Daddy. In keeping with the CD theme, each page has words to the chorus from Little Guy (by Gord Bamford). It turned out SO cute! I finished my little coaster calendar, and I love it. Next time I will switch up some of the themes on each month, I was just going by my inspiration, and then realized June's design was better for July, etc. But it's really cute and I am so happy with the results overall.

Again, too much glare, so I took the pic without the flash in hopes of capturing some of the details. This is a faux tile look, with Be My Valentine on the inside (perfectly straight, thanks to my new Stamp-a-ma-jig).

Beachy Cards

I am posting this today, but I made these cards two weeks ago. I didn't want to spoil the surprise. Some of my siblings are coming to visit me (arrived yesterday), and I made them some welcome baskets to welcome them to the beach. Of course, each needs a card with their name on it! I really love this look, and I think I will be using this 'template' for many cards in years to come!

Paper Bag Scrapbook

We had so much fun! One person made an actual scrapbook for fathers day, and everyone else made a baby book. Some others had some cute ideas for the inside, making "split pages" (like I did on the black and white), for the dark & light browns, greens and blues. I made this at the workshop for myself...actually as a gift for our neighbors little girl, born that same day!

Then the next day (today actually), I got this one done, for my new little nephew. Notice my catering to Canadian spelling! Looks perfect! I tried to give this one a little more of a boy feel, so I used paper tabs for the pull outs instead of ribbon. And cookie monster was the only thing I could think of to make for the front that was boy-ish. His eyes are made with buttons, to give them a 3D effect, the white part only, then I put black paper over that for the centers.
